Dr. Ted Suzelis, N.D.                   Schedule an Appointment Online!

Dr. Ted Suzelis has been helping people in the Mahoning Valley for over 15 years to achieve a level of health that allows them to not only do what they want with their lives, but have the energy to fully enjoy it. He believes that when given the right tools, the body can heal itself. Because of this, he focuses on helping patients with a healthy diet, along with vitamins, minerals, and other nutritional supplements to give the body the nutrients needed to heal itself. In order to understand what is needed, his evaluation goes deep into your health to understand the underlying health concerns and get to the root cause of the problem. Only then can therapy be truly healing and not just covering up the symptoms.

In August 2001, Dr. Ted received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, which is a four-year, graduate-level naturopathic medical school. He was educated in all of the same basic sciences as an MD, but also studies holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio in August 1996.

Dr. Ted lives in Canfield with his wife, Robin, and two children Evan and Dean. He enjoys spending time with his family and running on the bike trail whenever possible. Both of his children have been diagnosed with autism, which creates a combination of challenges and blessings for the family. Dr. Ted and Robin work hard to help their children grow and develop to reach their full potential in life.

Some of Dr. Suzelis' accomplishments include being the past President and a founding member of the Ohio Chapter of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OCAANP) (an organization spearheading the effort to pass legislation to license Naturopathic Physicians in Ohio), a "Master Instructor for the Institute for Human Individuality," the only doctor in Northern Ohio who is a "Certified Blood Type Practitioner," and he sits on the advisory board for the Northcoast Medical Training Academy.

Dr. Ted's specialties include: allergies, digestive health, fatigue, headaches, hormone imbalances, sinus health, women's health and other health issues.
